What if you could reshape the colors
of a painting to match your emotions?

RGB (2023, participatory installation)

The RGB Room is an immersive, participatory installation that explores the relationship between emotions, light, and color. Upon entering, visitors are greeted by a central console that allows them to control the lighting throughout the space. Beyond this console, they step into a room filled with paintings, where the dynamic interplay of light and art transforms the viewing experience.

Equipped with adjustable LEDs, the installation invites visitors to alter the room’s light color, challenging the traditionally fixed and meticulously designed lighting often found in painting exhibitions. This shift in control creates a completely new way of engaging with the artworks, allowing the layers and textures of the paintings to reveal themselves differently depending on the chosen light.

By breaking the hegemony of static lighting, the RGB Room encourages a deeper, more personal interaction with the art. Visitors not only shape their own emotional atmosphere but also pass their mood and perspective to others entering the space, fostering a shared and evolving connection between the artworks and the audience.
